A Cooling Trend

After a very hot last week, the winds have shifted and the temps have cooled down enough to make it comfortable at night. Happy days! 

Now we need some rain. I'm watering the containers and some of the plants in the ground, but that's not something I want to have to do all Summer. Too hard on the water bill. Its astonishing; it hardly stopped raining all Winter and most of the Spring. Now the country is experiencing near drought conditions in many areas. 

For now, the garden is looking good, though I'm still very concerned about the low insect numbers.

I have more Red Hot Poker blooms this year!

And just because things are pretty wild and wooly out there (social media I'm talking about you), here's something to lighten the mood.
