Perfume vs Eau de Toilette
If you ever wondered what the difference is between perfume and eau de toilette, the image above explains all. Its all about concentration with perfume or parfum, being the strongest and cologne being the weakest. Eau de cologne used to be common but I seldom see it any more. You will also pay more for the stronger formula.
Personally I find perfume and eau de parfum too strong. My go to is always eau de toilette and of course Chanel No 5.
You've educated me this morning! I don't tend to wear any scent, but I do have an ancient bottle of Chanel No. 5 kicking around in case the need arises. The tiny bit left in the bottom is now a deep amber colour from age and concentration, lol. Probably if I take the stopper out, the fumes will overcome me.
ReplyDeleteWhen fragrance discolours like that its not usually fit for use,. I can't say a bottle of Chanel has ever had the chance to go off in my hands. lol!
